Blauweiss Media has been working hard on a new series of online multimedia presentations called PhotoTalks. PhotoTalks are engaging
multimedia presentations on a variety of topics related to Kingston, Woodstock, Hudson Valley, Ulster County, and Black cultural history.
Based on their
upcoming book The Story of Historic Kingston: A Journey Through the Hudson Valley and its Connections with New York City, featuring over 800 photographs, this PhotoTalk covers a thriving era in Kingston and Hudson Valley history and their intricate relationship with New York City's development.
Topics include:
- Glass, Tanning & Barrels
- Mountain Houses & Tourism
- Hudson River School Painters
- Delaware & Hudson Canal
- Bluestone, Brick, Cement
- Ice Harvesting
There will also be time for discussion and Q&A. Whether you're a novice or an expert you'll be surprised how much there is to discover—this is not your 8th grade history class! See a short sample of another topic from the book here.
