Riverport Wooden Boat School at the Hudson River Maritime Museum
Boating Fundamentals
Designed for the boater who wishes to learn about basic boating skills or upgrade their present boating knowledge. Topics include safe operation of a vessel with focus on “rules of the road”, vessel identification, buoy age system, charts, basic navigation and proper use of the VHF radio. The primary focus will be related but not limited to vessel operation on the Hudson River which is a commercially navigable inland waterway.
