The 2021 Community Walk for Breast Cancer will be in person on October 3, and virtual for the entire month of October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
On October 3 join us to remember and honor all those affected by breast cancer within our Hudson Valley. And all month long, during October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, anyone can support local breast cancer patients and programs by running, walking, biking or however you get out and move!
The event benefits the Miles of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation which funds support services, education and outreach for people affected by breast cancer within the 9 counties of the Hudson Valley. To date, Miles of Hope has granted over $2.75 million dollars to people and programs affected by breast cancer locally.
"One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer and there are more than 2,000 breast cancer cases in the Hudson Valley each year. Miles of Hope directly supports more than 700 breast cancer patients in the Hudson Valley region every year."
Events like the Community Walk for Breast Cancer help fund the growing need for patient and family support.
People can form a team of family, friends, and colleagues! They can register as an individual or join an existing team and print a sign telling us who you walk for and we will post it https://milesofhope.org/event-directory/community-walk/.
