Day of Caring a one-day event organized by the United Way of Ulster County in which local businesses and organizations send teams of employees as volunteers to work 3-4 hours on various projects throughout the county for United Way Partner Agencies and other local non-profit agencies. Individual volunteers are welcome to participate. Service projects usually take place in the morning and all volunteers and agency personnel are invited to a picnic at the Robert Post Pavilion, Town of Ulster park, on the banks of the Hudson from noon to 2 p.m. to celebrate the day!
