Health Quest affiliate The Heart Center recently added three cardiologists who will see patients at 33 Grand St. and provide an array of cardiac services.

Dr. Gary Cohen, Dr. Dineshkant Parikh and Dr. Paul Reiter are board certified and specialize in general cardiology. They will provide diagnosis and treatment of heart disease. Diagnostic tests such as cardiac ultrasound, nuclear imaging and stress testing are also offered.

A resident of Kingston, Cohen has practiced medicine there since 1989, formerly with Mid-Valley Cardiology. He trained as an intern and resident at St Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital in New York City in the 1980s. His fellowship was in cardiovascular disease at Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in his hometown of Brooklyn.

Parikh began his career at a Veterans Affairs hospital in Ashville, N.C. Eventually, he ended up in private practice in Kingston, where he resides. In 1998, he joined Mid-Valley Cardiology, working in Kingston and Red Hook, with a specialty in nuclear cardiology. He studied medicine in India and completed his residency and fellowship at The Jamaica Hospital, both in New York City.

Reiter has been a licensed physician for 40 years, and spent most of that time at Mid-Valley Cardiology treating patients in Kingston and surrounding areas. Reiter completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at Norwalk Hospital in Connecticut and a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. He lives just outside of Kingston.
